Redesigning A PropTech Website

ePropertyCare delivers operational efficiency by providing cost-effective cellular access control, water protection, and smart temperature technologies. ePropertyCare hired Mission Disrupt to build a new website that enhanced their sales message with design elements that help their marketing copy stand out while demonstrating the superiority of their suite of products within the PropTech marketplace.

The Solution

From Information to Inspiration: Redefining ePropertyCare’s Online Experience

  • Blending Media & Content To Tell A Story

    ePropertyCare goal was to stand out from its competition, but with a copy heavy site already in place, our team decided to help property managers and investors understand the value of their products by using a combination of videos, images, and graphs to demonstrate each sales point. The team strategically placed the visuals throughout the site. One example is our team designed vertical panels that allowed for Giph/Videos/Images to be placed next to headers.
    The team also built graphs including a comparison chart to showcase how their products stack up against the competition, a pricing guide that outlines unity base pricing for it’s Smart Access, Building Access Control & Sustainability products while also highlighting key product benefits

  • Using 3D Design

    By partnering with an AutoCAD animator, the website was able to have an interactive walkthrough of an apartment that featured the products sold by property care. The user could virtually tour an apartment complex, see how the systems integrate with different rooms/systems a person would typically see in the apartment, and watch videos on the product benefits based on the product selected in the apartment.

Making a Website a Lead Driver

  • Customized ROI Calculator To Drive Leads

    Demonstrating the ability to save money is a key component of ePropertyCare’s sales proposition. To further illustrate the value of ePropertyCare’s products, we developed an ROI calculator that factored into account a property’s income and expenses and then told the user the average savings the customer can expect to have and how many years it takes them to make back there money. The savings would only be shown after a user submits some contact information to capture leads for the sales team.

  • Driving Bundle Sales

    Product bundles on hardware presented a new opportunity for increasing revenue for the company. We developed a custom store that allowed for products to be bundled for cross-selling capabilities. The store was built within the WordPress system using WooCommerce for easy store maintenance without any code required.

Designing Enterprise User Experience

eMembership

The Mission

eMembership a division of Winmill enlisted Mission Disrupt's help with the goal of updating its user experience for its web application used by labor unions across the county. The main purpose of the application is to help labor unions manage their extensive list of members. The main goal of the redesign was to ensure easy navigation between app features taking into consideration a user base aged 50+. Maximizing screen space was also a challenge we had to consider as the user base required to see as much user data on the screen as possible - making their jobs more seamless.

The Solution

From Complex to Intuitive: A Streamlined Web Application

  • A Streamlined Navigation Experience

    Scraping the traditional website look, our team opted for a “dashboard” approach to the web application. We designed out collapsable side navigation instead of the top bar nav which allowed for more features to be available to users with fewer clicks. The collapsable feature was pivotal in allowing more horizontal screen space to be created if needed by the user to see more information on the screen. The top bar was now used to promote the search function which was the top feature used by users in the old application – making it easy to begin a search.

  • Increased Usability

    Our team introduced new features based on customer feedback that would make the application easier to use, including a Favorites and History function. The favorites tab at the top right is completely customizable per user and allows them to bookmark any app functions like membership info, reports, worksite info, etc. The History function kept a record of previous pages visited by the user allowing the user to backtrack if needed.

  • A Simplified Menu System

    The left side menu also gave the advantage to simplify multiple layers of navigation. In the eMembership application, it wasn’t uncommon that thee layers of navigation existed. This created a challenge in the original header menus typically used on websites. By using the left-hand menu the solution became scalable organizing sub-features in a linear way that users could understand. Secondary menu items would pop-out on the right side of main menus, while third-level sub-menu items would appear below the secondary. If it seems complicated – we get it, but as you can see the solution completely streamlined their complex navigation issues.

Improvements to Functionality, User Experience, and Mobile Viewing

  • Advanced Search & Personalization Features

    Enhanced filtering tools for dental practice listings and consultants, plus geo-location functionality to tailor content (like listings, reps, events, and testimonials) based on user location.

  • User Experience Enhancements

    A newly developed user dashboard differentiates logged-in experiences, giving users access to editable profiles and a more clear logged-in experience. Sales rep profile pages showcase individual reps, their listings, testimonials, and contact info.

  • Mobile Optimization & Site Organization

    A mobile-first design, fixed navigation, and reorganized site structure improved both usability and speed across devices. SEO was preserved through pre-launch 301 redirects.
